Lash extensions
Cleanse daily: Use a gentle, oil-free lash cleanser with a soft brush to clean your extensions to remove oils, dirt, and makeup that can weaken the adhesive and cause infections.
Brush gently:Use a clean spoolie or lash brush to gently comb your lashes in the morning to keep them organized and separated.
Use lash-safe products: Avoid waterproof mascaras, strip lashes, oil-based makeup on the eye, and makeup removers other than micellar water
Things to Avoid
- Steam: For the first 24-48 hours after application. You can get your lashes wet right away however
- Sleeping on your face: Sleeping on your stomach can cause your lashes to lose their shape or fall out.
- Rubbing and picking:Resist the urge to rub, pull, or pick at your lashes.
- Excessive heat: Avoid high-heat environments, like super hot showers or blow dryers on high heat, and opening ovens, as heat can damage the extensions.
Long-Term Maintenance
Consider a lash serum:A lash serum compatible with lash extensions can help keep your natural lashes healthy and strong.
Schedule refills: Natural lash shedding causes extensions to fall out over time; regular touch-ups are necessary to maintain the fullness of your lash set. Allowing your lashes to overgrow can strain the natural lashes due to added weight. This can be avoided by coming in within your 2-3 week fill period.
Lash lift and tint
Initial Aftercare (First day)
- Avoid Water and Steam: Keep your lashes completely dry for the remaining of the day to allow the keratin serum settle in
- No Oil-Based Products: Do not use any oil-based makeup removers or serums on your lashes during this period, as oil can dissolve the lift and fade the tint.
- Be Gentle: Avoid rubbing or tugging at your eyes and lashes.
- Heat and Sweating: Activities that cause excessive sweating can weaken the lift.
- Don’t Use a Lash Curler: You don’t need a curler after a lash lift, and using one can cause damage and make your lashes appear unruly
- Avoid Sleeping on Your Face: Try to sleep on your back to prevent crimping the freshly lifted lashes.
Long-Term Care
Use Mild Cleansers: Switch to a sulfate-free or oil-free face cleanser to clean your face gently.
Condition Your Lashes: Apply a lash serum or keratin conditioner daily to keep your natural lashes nourished and healthy.
Be Careful with Skincare: Avoid exfoliating scrubs and retinol-based skincare products near your eyes, as these can cause the tint to fade faster.
Avoid Waterproof Mascara: Opt for water-soluble mascaras if you choose to wear mascara, and be extra gentle when removing it to avoid damaging the lashes.
Brush Daily: Gently brush your lashes with a clean, dry lash wand to keep them groomed and looking their best.
Brow lamination and tint
Initial Aftercare (First day)
- Keep brows dry: Avoid getting your brows wet, sweaty, or exposed to steam from showers or saunas.
- Avoid makeup and harsh products: Do not apply any makeup (foundation, eyeshadow, mascara) or skincare products containing oil or alcohol around the brows.
- Don’t touch: Refrain from touching, rubbing, or putting pressure on your brows.
- Stay out of direct sun: Limit exposure to direct sunlight, sunbeds, and swimming pools.
Long-Term Aftercare (After the first 48 hours)
Watch Out for Tanning Products: Avoid applying fake tanning products on your face for three days before and after the treatment to prevent discoloration.
Gentle Cleansing: Cleanse your brows daily using a gentle, oil-free cleanser and a washcloth, being careful not to rub the area.
Moisturize: Apply a nourishing brow serum or keratin conditioner to keep the hairs hydrated and healthy.
Brush Daily:Use a clean spoolie brush to groom your brows upward and outward, maintaining their lifted and defined shape.
Be Gentle: Continue to be gentle when removing makeup or cleansing your face.
Avoid Exfoliation: Steer clear of exfoliating (like AHAs, BHAs) and anti-aging products on your face for at least three days before and after the treatment.
Waxing
Immediately After Waxing (First 24-48 Hours)
- Soothe the skin: Apply a cool compress or a soothing product like aloe vera gel to calm irritation and redness.
- Avoid heat and sweat: Stay away from hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and intense workouts, as these can open pores and increase irritation.
- Don’t touch the area: Keep your hands off your face to prevent transferring bacteria and causing infections or breakouts.
- Avoid makeup and harsh products: Wait at least 24 to 48 hours before applying makeup or using products with harsh chemicals to allow your skin to heal.
In the Days Following
- Moisturize regularly: Apply a lightweight, fragrance-free moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated and support the skin barrier.
- Protect from the sun: Freshly waxed skin is very sensitive to UV rays, so avoid sun exposure and tanning beds.
- Introduce gentle exfoliation: After a few days, start gently exfoliating 2-3 times a week to remove dead skin cells and prevent ingrown hairs, using products like glycolic acid.
- Avoid swimming: Stay out of pools and the ocean for 24-48 hours as chlorine and salt can irritate sensitive, freshly waxed skin.
What to Avoid
Swimming in chlorinated water or saltwater.
Hot showers, baths, and excessive sweating.
Direct sun exposure and tanning.
Harsh soaps, scrubs, and products with fragrances.
Touching the freshly waxed area.
